The Maine Department of Marine Reosurces is responsible for the classification of all coastal waters. Please click
on the below link for more information regarding pollution and red tide closures. BE AWARE many municipalities also
implement conservation closure to ensure a sustainable resource. If you are harvesting shellfish please contact the
municipality prior to the date of your anticipated harvest.
